What a time at the Art Gallery of Burlington for my Art. I've been busy and I still am. I have photography and two paintings on display in April.
Let's begin with a celebration! For the month of April, Latow (the photographer's Guild at the AGB) is having a member's show in the Fireside Lounge. The photographs displayed celebrate Canada's Sesquicentennial. I am proudly Canadian so, I entered a photograph titled "Canada Proud."
The first painting of mine titled, "Waiting" is a part of the All Guilds show with "the garden" theme. This show is in the Lee Chin Gallery April 22-May 21. I chose to write a poem to go along with my painting. It begins:
At The Edge With The Butterflies
sitting among the honeyed flowers with the bees,
The second painting of mine titled "Favourite Things" is in Kaleidoscope which will be displayed in the Community Gallery or the Rotary/Shoreline rooms. I'm still painting this one. This painting is about and including many of my favourite things:
using a treasured brush, painting a large canvas (36x24), abstract painting, rhythms of dance and Spencer Smith Park in the morning.
Kaleidoscope is Friday, April 21- Sunday, April 23. Oh Spring! Please come out and see my art.
